Quincy lawyer James A. Rapp was honored by the Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Board of the Supreme Court of Illinois for thirteen years of leadership and instrumental service at a meeting in Chicago on Dec. 5.

Rapp was appointed as a charter member of the nine-member MCLE Board by the Illinois Supreme Court in 2005. The Board convened in 2005 and was tasked to establish and implement a program of ongoing professional education for Illinois’ nearly-100,000 licensed lawyers. He is also a widely-published author, best known for Education Law , a seven-volume treatise on school law. He and his wife Martha have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
