Young Quincy Man Who Was Graduated from Michigan This Year Passes Bar Examination

QUINCY, IL -- July 26, 1922 -- Carl G. Schmiedeskamp is the newest lawyer at the Adams County bar. He received notice today of his passing the examination permitting him to practice law in this state.

Carl Schmiedeskamp is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Schmiedeskamp, who live at Twenty-fourth and Vermont streets in this city. He is a graduate of the Quincy High School and of the University of Michigan in both the academic and law departments, having a degree from each. He spent six years at the university, attaining high honors in all his work. In fact, his academic studies were pursued so successfully that he was given an instructorship during the time that he was studying law. For two years therefore he taught classes in rhetoric in the English department of Michigan University.

Mr. Schmiedeskamp already has taken his place in the law firm of Wilson & Schmiedeskamp, with office in the Mercantile building. He is a brother of Henry Schmiedeskamp of this firm. He brings to his practice an equipment of the very best of preparation of careful study in the law of solid educational foundation in the arts and sciences and of forceful character. With such equipment and opportunities, success in a profession is without question.
