Michael A. Bickhaus, the managing partner of the firm, focuses his practice primarily on corporate law, estate planning, real estate, elder law, and banking law. He represents many privately held manufacturing and service businesses with respect to general business advisory matters, commercial transactions (including multimillion-dollar contract negotiations), commercial real estate transactions, and business formations. He represents several banks with respect to governance, lending and trust law matters, and many individual clients. He devotes a substantial amount of his practice to the representation of those businesses and banks and the administration of estates and trusts, including the preparation of federal and state estate tax and income tax returns. He has successfully assisted clients with the purchase, sale, and succession planning for a variety of businesses. In the estate planning area, he has assisted clients with forming and implementing multimillion-dollar estate plans to allow those clients to pass on significant assets to their beneficiaries free of estate and gift taxes.
