McCleery and Meckes Named Schmiedeskamp's Newest Partners

The law firm of Schmiedeskamp Robertson Neu and Mitchell LLP has added William S. Meckes and Daniel M. McCleery as its newest partners, helping lead the firm into 2021 and beyond.

Hal Oakley, the firm’s Chairman, said “Will and Dan are valuable lawyers in our firm and have demonstrated a high degree of excellence. They are our leaders of tomorrow and truly embody the client-focused and entrepreneurial culture of our firm. We are delighted to welcome Will and Dan as partners.”

Meckes graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2014 and joined the firm in 2018. During his time at the Schmiedeskamp firm, Meckes has established a diverse practice with a focus on business, real estate, and banking law. He also assists clients with trust and estate planning and administration, creditor/debtor matters, and business-related litigation.

“I feel very fortunate to be a part of this firm and its commitment to serving our clients and our community” Meckes said. “We have a talented team focused on practical solutions for our clients, and I’m excited about the future.” Will and his wife, Catherine, live in Quincy and have two children. Will serves as a board member of the Historical Society of Quincy & Adams County, Cornerstone Foundations for Families, and the Quincy Notre Dame Fund Drive.

McCleery graduated from Saint Louis University and joined the firm in 2015. Dan represents local healthcare providers and their health professionals as well as local businesses and government in various kinds of litigation disputes. Dan also represents individuals in litigation who have been harmed personally or who are otherwise aggrieved and in need of sound representation. “My practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses who need to be made whole. Whether it’s a contract issue, insurance coverage dispute or serious injury, I am here to navigate them through the litigation process and ensure they receive the best outcome possible.”

Dan and his wife, Allie, live in Quincy and have one child. Dan enjoys golfing, skiing, and supporting his favorite sports teams - the Cardinals, Blues and Fighting Illini.
