Jim Hansen recently received an AV peer review rating as conducted by Martindale-Hubbell. He joins a select group of lawyers that have obtained the highest rating for their legal ability and professional ethical standards. Jim’s peers had the following to say: “Meets and/or exceeds all of the criteria as a preeminent lawyer in his field of expertise,” “Jim is an excellent attorney, hardworking and client focused who gets results” and “James is an excellent litigator with whom I enjoy defending complex medical malpractice cases.”

Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review dates back to 1868, when James B. Martindale published his first directory of industry leaders, including attorneys, to provide consumers with one reliable contact. Today Martindale-Hubbell strives to “help buyers of legal services identify, evaluate and select the most appropriate lawyer for a specific task at hand,” according to their website. They randomly select attorneys from members and non-members listed on lawyers.com and martindalehubbell.com who have been admitted to a bar in the U.S or Canada for at least three years. The panel is made up of peers (lawyers and judges), from similar practice areas, who have worked directly or indirectly with the attorney. Their evaluation is based on general ethical standards and legal ability including legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability and legal experience.
