James A. Hansen
James A. Hansen focuses his practice on litigation, primarily medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, construction litigation, agribusiness and personal injury/wrongful death claims for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has represented both publicly and privately held manufacturing companies, agribusinesses, general and sub-contractors, hospitals and physicians and insurance carriers in litigation matters. He also represents school districts with regard to labor issues.
In addition to his professional activities, Jim's involvement in the community includes serving in various leadership positions, including past President of the Board of Directors for Cheerful Home Child Care & Early Learning Center, which is the oldest licensed day care in the state of Illinois. He has also served as President on the Advisory Council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Adams County and further served on the Advisory Council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Illinois. He is also an active board member in his local church.
Reported cases include Marchand v. Safeco Ins. Co. of America, 2 S.W.3d 826 (Mo.App.E.D. 1999) and Western States Ins. Co. v. O'Hara, 828 N.E.2d 842 (Il.Ct.App. 4th Dist. 2005).
