Brett K. Gorman Brett K. Gorman

Brett K. Gorman is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1992. A member of the firm’s litigation practice group, Brett started with a medium sized defense firm in Chicago before returning to his hometown of Quincy in 1996. Although the majority of his caseload involves all areas of defense work (particularly products liability, professional malpractice, complex commercial matters, and insurance litigation), he also handles corporate plaintiff cases in business disputes and plaintiff’s personal injury lawsuits. Brett’s wide range of experience in matters large and small and on all sides of almost every conceivable kind of dispute provides the firm’s clients with a unique perspective which enables the use of litigation to solve problems and produce efficient results. In addition to his litigation practice in Illinois, Brett has been licensed in Missouri since 1999. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the Eastern District of Missouri.

Brett graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Illinois in 1989. He has remained active in the community where his contributions include serving on the Executive Board for the Mississippi Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America, on which Brett has chaired the Council’s principal annual fund raising campaign for multiple consecutive years.
